Shawnna is attending The Culinary Institute of America

As a child, I was raised in a single mother household. I quickly learned the value of money and education. I have two older sisters who are both currently attending colleges in the United States. We all share the same drive for knowledge and success. However my career choice is very different from both of theirs. I have already started my schooling at our local technical high school in the culinary program with Chef Paul Suplee. I am planning on attending the Culinary Institute of America in June this year. —Shawnna Giles

Lindsay shows leadership skills, responsibility, and ambition that are rarely seen in recent college students. Since the age of 12 years old she has been responsible for taking and filling orders for her own cupcake business. She has sought after advisement to create a marketing plan and business model running a successful business. I see great potential in her future.
